In a message of condolence today, the former Prime Minister has said he was saddened by the human loss in the incidents, extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved. He wished for quick recovery of the injured. The leader urged party leaders and cadres, youths, locals, people’s representatives and security personnel to get involved in search and rescue efforts. The landslide occurred at Lidi of Jugal rural municipality-2 in Sindhupalchowk this morning, burying 35 houses. Similarly, in Kalikot, six members of a family were killed last night in Mahabai rural municipality while one person died in Makawanpur. He urged one and all to find a sustainable solution for mitigation of such incidents to take place in hilly regions and come up with a separate plan for the development of such places.
