Addressing a ceremony after laying the foundation for the China Nepal Friendship Industrial Park in Jhapa on Sunday, Prime Minister Oli said that the government will hold talks with the outlawed outfit CPN and sign an agreement. “There is good news for you. We will soon resolve the problem of the Biplav-led group which has been considered a law and order issue to some extent,” said Prime Minister Oli. Following its violent activities, the government on March 12, 2019 had decided to outlaw the CPN led by Biplav and banned its activities. However, the Oli-led government has taken steps in recent days to bring the Biplav-led outfit to the negotiating table after a split of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP). In his statement issued on February 20, Biplav had also said that his party was ready to sit for dialogue with the government.
