The NCP has asked its central committee members to come with their citizenship certificates and identity cards. They have been told to arrive at the party office Paris Danda with their identity cards at 1 pm after the Election Commission summoned Prachanda-Nepal faction to discuss the legitimacy of the NCP. The Election Commission had asked the party to submit citizenship certificates of the central committee members. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s decision to dissolve the House of Representatives, which is already reinstated by the Supreme Court, has left the ruling NCP on the verge of a split. Both Oli-led faction and Prachanda-Nepal faction have registered an application asking the the Election Commission to recognize them as the legitimate NCP and provide election symbol Sun.
