Following the demand of Madhav Nepal-faction of the CPN (UML), the main governing party is preparing to convene its central committee meeting. Bishnu Paudel, deputy general secretary of CPN (UML) said that the party is planning to hold its central committee meeting. He said that they are discussing a plan to hold the central committee meeting on March 14. However, the date for the central committee meeting will be finalized by CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli and General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel, according to CPN (UML) leaders. This will be the first central committee meeting of the ruling CPN (UML) after the Supreme Court scrapped its merger with CPN (Maoist Center) in a verdict to overturn the decision of the Election Commission to provide the name Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to the merged party.
