The meeting is scheduled for 3:00 pm today at the residence of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkantha. The meeting is said to dwell on the upcoming 14th general convention of the NC and changed political equation, said party spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma. Likewise, the NC today itself is holding a discussion with the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal on a current political scenario, it has been said. The meeting would take place at 4 pm at party president Deuba’s residence, said Sharma. The country’s political scenario took a new turn following the restoration of the House of Representatives by the Supreme Court and its verdict to give Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to Rishiram Kattel. Kattel had filed a writ petition in the court claiming that NCP was illegally awarded to the unified party following the unification of the then CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre as the party has already been registered in his name.
