गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Army court orders removal of three personnel Nepal Army court orders removal of three personnel KathmanduPati August 16, 2020 Kathmandu- Summary General Army Court on Sunday has ordered the Dismissal of three army officials on charges of property and discipline and moral conduct. The army officials who have faced action are Brigadier General Prayog Jung Rana, Colonel Nabin Silwal and Warrant Officer First Class Mithuram Bishwokarma. They have been accused of misappropriating over Rs 16 million while discharging their duty at Panchkhal-based Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre. Brigadier General Rana has been accused of embezzling over Rs 15 million and Colonel Siwal over Rs 1.5 million. The court has also ordered a recovery of the money equivalent to the misappropriated amounts from the convicts. The court has ordered Demotion of Captain Laxmi Kanta Khanal, Warrant Officer First Class Bhoj Bahadur Bista and Warrant Officer Second Class Binod Basnet. Likewise, the court gave a clean chit to Colonel Rajendra Mani Giri and retired Warrant Officer First Class Nawaraj Pandey who were being investigated on various charges.
