The two leaders held the meeting today at a businessman Tapendra Timilsina’s residence in Koteshwor. CPN (UML) leader Nepal held talks with Prachanda before reaching Kalanko to participate in a meeting of central committee members close to him. The two leaders had held the meeting also on Thursday at the residence of another businessman Chandralal Shrestha in Koteshwor. According to a source, the two leaders have discussed the party merger. CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Prachanda is said to be making efforts to form a party including leaders like Nepal, Upendra Yadav and Baburam Bhattarai. The meeting between two leaders comes at a time when the main ruling CPN (UML) is on the verge of a split. CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has already sought clarification from four leaders of the rival faction including Nepal. According to a CPN (UML) source, the party is taking action against Nepal along with other leaders of his faction.
