गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Quake-damaged 56 school buildings reconstructed in Myagdi Nepal Quake-damaged 56 school buildings reconstructed in Myagdi KathmanduPati April 02, 2021 MYAGDI – Reconstruction of 56 school buildings damaged by the 2015 Gorkha earthquake in Myagdi district has been completed. The reconstruction drive took place five years ago. Fifty damaged school buildings are under reconstruction and construction of 22 toilets and two drinking water projects has been completed, said Tularaj Chaulagain, chief of the district level project implementation unit (education) under the National Reconstruction Authority. Twenty eight toilets and 25 drinking water projects are under construction. The reconstruction of damaged school buildings cost Rs 287 million. Likewise, it cost Rs 36 million to construct toilets and Rs 5.7 million to construct water projects.Out of 344 classrooms of 105 damaged schools, reconstruction of 171 classrooms has been completed and reconstruction of 173 classrooms has reached its final stage. With the reconstruction of damaged school buildings, students have felt safe and teaching-learning activities have been easier, said Khim Bahadur Chhantyal, headmaster of Ritung Secondary School at Raghuganga-8.
