The rural municipality is the birthplace of Rashtrakavi Ghimire. He died on Tuesday at his residence in Lainchaur in Kathmandu at the age of 101. An emergency meeting of the rural municipality today morning took a decision to closing all services except for emergency services provided by all government offices in the rural municipality. The announcement of public holiday was in memory and respect of contribution of Rashtrakavi Ghimire, it has been said. The rural municipality has also expressed its condolence to the bereaved family and relatives.
