गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Two killed, 17 missing after being swept away by river Nepal Two killed, 17 missing after being swept away by river KathmanduPati August 19, 2020 DOTI : Two persons died and 17 have gone missing after being swept away by local Kailash river at Ramaroshan rural municipality-5 in Achham district. Thirty shops in the area have been washed away by the river, said the police. A joint team of Nepalese Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and local people has been launched to search for the missing ones, said Mukesh Kumar Singh, officiating police chief at the Sudurpaschim state police office, Dipayal. Identity of the deceased is yet to be known, said the police. Two persons were killed in a landslide and flooding in Bajura district. Three-year-old Sanika Buda of Khaptad Chhededaha rural municipality-5 in the district died when a landslide buried her house, said the police. Her five-year-old sister Binita and mother Nanda, 60, were injured in the tragedy.
