Deputy Mayor Chaudhary died at Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar, according to Uttam Acharya, a resident of Kanchanrup Municipality. She was admitted to a local health post after suffering from fever, flu and breathing problems some two weeks ago. Chief of District Health Office Duniyalal Yadav said that the Deputy Mayor was tested positive to coronavirus during an antigen test. After getting infected, she was kept in ICU bed for 10 days and three days in ventilator. Deputy Mayor Chaudhary was also pregnant and the dead baby was removed from her womb just three days ago.Deputy Mayor Chaudhary is survived by her husband and a seven-year-old son. With this, the Covid-19 death toll in Saptakoshi reached three, the District Health Office said.
