गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ NC international branch provides Rs 2.1 million to COVID-19 infected people Politics NC international branch provides Rs 2.1 million to COVID-19 infected people KathmanduPati June 01, 2021 File Photo KATHMANDU – The Nepali Congress, Central Policy, Research and Training Academy’s international branch has started collecting relief and distributing it in aid of the coronavirus infected people in the needy districts in the country. It is decided that the assistance would be provided to the needy people in Dhanusha, Baglung and Dadeldhura districts through the NC Central Office. Branch’s Japan coordinator Dr Balaram Shrestha said the information on the type of assistance to be distributed in these districts and its modality would be given soon. According to him, Rs 210 thousand collected in japan has already been remitted to these districts. More assistance worth Rs 200 thousand has been pledged from Japan. Shrestha said Rs 1.8 million has been collected from the Academy’s branches in other countries. So, the total assistance on behalf of the Academy’s international branch would be Rs 2.1 million so far. Each of the three districts would be given Rs 700 thousand. The assistance would be used in purchasing the medical goods needed by the COVID-19 patients in critical condition in the three districts, it is stated.
