Hospital sources said it has also brought into operation a PCR test lab after an outbreak of second wave of coronavirus with the new variant. Of late, the hospital has started collecting swab samples of the patients reaching out to their residence. Hospital’s general-manger Bikasman Singh shared that swab collection has been initiated from 8.00 to 10.00 am reaching out to the residence of the patients. “With the PCR test lab coming into operation since last Wednesday, we have started door-to-door swab collection taking into consideration the convenience of the patients”, he further informed. Arrangement of online payment has been made for PCR test, he added. The PCR test result report is being delivered to the concerned beneficiaries through email. The hospital has determined a charge of Rs 1,500 for the test. Extra Rs 500 is charged for doorstep service. The government has set Rs 2,000 for the test but the hospital is providing the service even less than the government-stipulated cost.
