Monsoon rain in majority of the country

KATHMANDU – Majority of the country is experiencing general to mostly cloudy weather today. Likewise, light to moderate rain is likely to continue at many places of the country, the Weather Forecasting Division has said.

There are also chances of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in few places of Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Province 1, Province 2 and Bagmati province are already experiencing light rainfall since this morning.

The weather is likely to remain generally to mostly cloudy in the country later tonight while light to moderate rain is possible at many places of the country. There are chances of heavy rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places of Province 1, Province 2 and Lumbini Province tonight, adds the Division.

The temperature of Kathmandu is expected to remain at a maximum of 27.4 and minimum of 20.2 degree Celsius today.
