The new Delta variant were confirmed by the National Public Health Laboratory after testing five nasal and throat swab samples sent by Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan. Bharatpur Hospital’s COVID-19 Clinical Coordinator Dr Pramod Poudel-signed press statement said that the new Delta variant, considered to be very contagious, were found in two persons in Bharatpur Metropolitan City. This variant is dangerous than Alfa variant of COVID-19, according to the statement. The Hospital has urged one and all to take all necessary health safety precautions against the deadly infection.
