The Prime Minister is scheduled to seek a confidence motion in the second session of the House of Representatives (HoR) today. Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gyanendra Bahadur Karki had registered a proposal for the same at the Federal Parliament Secretariat, according to Secretariat Assistant Spokesperson Dasharath Dhamala. Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba was appointed Prime Minister on July 13 following the July 12 Supreme Court’s verdict to reinstate the House of Representatives. He will be seeking a vote of confidence in accordance with the constitution.
