
KATHMANDU – Discussions have intensified among the parties in the ruling alliance regarding the Cabinet expansion after Prime Minister and Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba won a vote of confidence in the Federal Parliament.
In this connection, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSPN) Chair Upendra Yadav have held separate meetings today with CPN (UML) senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, who voted in support of PM Deuba.
Dahal and Yadav reached Nepal’s residence at Koteshwor for talks this morning. During the discussions, the leaders talked on the contemporary political situation, Cabinet expansion, among other topics, it is learnt.
However, the leaders from both sides have not given their official comments to the media regarding the talks. JSPN executive committee member Mohammad Ishtiyaq Rai shared that the party Chair Yadav held talks with leader Nepal on contemporary issues and the detail information of this would be given in the afternoon.
According to him, the JSPN’s parliamentary party meeting is taking place in Singha Durbar in the afternoon today. Chair Yadav has held inter-party consultations before the parliamentary party meeting.
Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), the main constituent of the ruling alliance, Prachanda and senior leader Nepal also held discussions for about an hour. The JSPN Chair Yadav met leader Nepal separately immediately after the meeting between leader Prachanda and Nepal.
