Under the drive that comes in the wake of the ‘violation’ of the health safety protocols against ongoing COVID-19, people will be made aware about the proper use and benefit of wearing a facemask, said the Ministry’s joint spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari. The slogan for the campaign is “My commitment to prevent and control the pandemic; the need of the day is to wear a facemask”. “Following the health protocols and proper use of facemasks and sanitizers played an important role equivalent to COVID-19 vaccines in controlling the infection. There is a need to make all people aware about the role of facemasks in stemming the virus,” he said. He also urged people to properly wear facemasks to be safe from and help control the infection.
