KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leaders have stressed the need for consolidated efforts to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
At a virtual interaction programme organized today by Girija Prasad Koirala Foundation, USA Branch, the leaders said that government\u2019s preparations for the prevention, control and treatment of coronavirus infection were not sufficient.<\/p>\n
On the occasion, Foundation\u2019s Chairperson Sujata Koirala stated that Nepal should go for self-dependency adding that we have adequate possibilities for economic prosperity.<\/p>\n
She was of the view that Ayurvedic medicine should be prioritised through proper utilization of medicinal herbs.<\/p>\n
Likewise, NC central committee member NP Saud also blamed the government for its poor role in prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
Also speaking at the event, leader Bir Bahadur Balayar stated that the country has entered the post-COVID-19 phase while calling for NC\u2019s united voices for the control of the pandemic.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, another leader Dhanraj Gurung argued that the NC should raise its voices as rampant corruption has been reported in the country at a time when we are gripped by the pandemic.<\/p>\n
