{"id":11055,"date":"2021-11-05T11:20:46","date_gmt":"2021-11-05T05:35:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=11055"},"modified":"2021-11-05T11:20:46","modified_gmt":"2021-11-05T05:35:46","slug":"president-says-nepal-sambat-promotes-mutual-goodwill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=11055","title":{"rendered":"President says Nepal Sambat promotes mutual goodwill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KATHMANDU &#8211;<\/strong> President Bidya Devi Bhandari has expressed the confidence that the Nepal Sambat 1142 would help support further strengthen national unity by promoting mutual goodwill, tolerance and brotherhood.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a message today on the occasion of the Nepal Sambat 1142, the President has wished for happiness, peace and prosperity to all Nepalis at home and abroad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President recalled that Shankhadhar Sakhwa introduced the Nepal Sambat by relieving the farmers and poor people of the Kathmandu Valley off debt during the rule of Lichchhavi King Raghavdev.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stating that Sakhwa gave priority to agriculture, the President has expressed the confidence that welfare and philanthropic works of Sakhwa would inspire all of us to remain active for society\u2019s interest and progress in a selfless manner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nepali society has remained civilized and tolerant since the ancient times, reads the President\u2019s message.
