Various programmes are being organized with the national resolution of &#8216;ending VAW from home&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Constitution of Nepal has made resolution to build an equitable, prosperous and just society based on the principles of proportional system, inclusion and participation,&#8221; she reminded, adding that noticeable participation of women in people&#8217; elected institutions and in politics have caused the wave of women empowerment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, she expressed worry over various social evils as Chhaupadi, allegation of practice of witchcraft, discrimination against women, superstition that have plagued the lives of many women in Nepal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Activism is important for massive public awareness at household and community level against such social evils and anomalies. President Bhandari underscored the need for making women financially self-reliant.
