KATHMANDU –<\/strong> Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the government is committed to its belief that all should have equal opportunity for education despite their varied socio-economic status.<\/p>\n

In his address to the 47th Convocation of the Tribhuvan University (TU) here today, the Prime Minister asserted that financial status of an individual should not be a standard for accessing to education.<\/p>\n

Also the Chancellor of TU, PM Deuba was of the view that it was the responsibility of the nation to create an atmosphere conducive for everyone to easily obtain higher education and utilize own talent and creativity for the sake of the society and the nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cProduction of creative, innovative and skilled human resources is necessary to further strengthen the country\u2019s democratic system, and to transform nation\u2019s economy,\u201d the Prime Minister said, speaking of the need of educational and managerial reforms as demanded by the time in world\u2019s educational market.<\/p>\n

As the Prime Minister believed, education should be for bringing positive change in people\u2019s life, society and in the nation. He advised the Universities to continue with efforts for infrastructure development, educational and other reformative efforts. He took time to share with the mass that he was seeing the reflection of a beautiful Nepal on the faces of the graduates. \u201cThe future course of the nation will be determined by your mindset, commitments and actions,\u201d he told the mass.<\/p>\n

Indian Institute of Technology director Prof V Ramgopal Rao talked about the importance of vocation and job-oriented education in the present context. Activities of any small sector of the global market have their implications in the world, according to the Professor who echoed the need of the innovation, use and promotion of new technology at present time.<\/p>\n

A total of 29,729 students completing the PhD, DM\/MCH, philosophy, Master\u2019s and Bachelor’s degree and meeting the criteria of attending the convocation participated in the ceremony.<\/p>\n

TU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Dharmakanta Baskota said lack of rebuilding works in the University as suggested by experts in accordance with federal structure, the government not taking the responsibility of providing pension to TU teachers and employees who became permanent before 2067 BS and allocation of minimum budget for higher education and research are among the pile of challenges facing the TU at the moments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
