President Bidya Devi Bhandari is presenting them before a joint session of the Federal Parliament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to this, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba handed a copy of the government&#8217;s policies and programmes to the Head-of-the-State. The President was welcomed by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota and National Assembly Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina at the New Baneshwor-based Federal Parliament building.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As per the provision, the government policies and programmes are required to be passed by the Cabinet before its presentation to a joint session of the Federal Parliament by the President.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Import replacement, export promotion, internal production growth, job creation and high economic growth are among the targets of the government in its new policies and programmes.
