{"id":1511,"date":"2020-09-09T19:45:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-09T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=1511"},"modified":"2020-09-09T19:45:00","modified_gmt":"2020-09-09T14:00:00","slug":"health-ministry-directs-construction-of-temporary-health-institutions-at-local-level","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=1511","title":{"rendered":"Health Ministry directs construction of temporary health institutions at local level\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KATHMANDU : The Ministry of Health and Population has directed 649 local levels lacking health institutions to construct temporary five-bed hospitals each.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The direction comes through the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration acting on a Cabinet decision in this regard on August 29, amidst the health institutions at local levels lacking beds to admit COVID-19 infected patients. This directive is towards the treatment of those infected and to prevent and control the infection, said the Ministry&#8217;s co-spokesperson Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So far, there are 48,138 infected people in the country. Of them, 32,964 have recovered from the infection and 306 have succumbed to the disease. Local levels will decide on how to manage such hospitals and their operation.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each of the health institutions will have two doctors, two nurses and an office assistant. The Ministry will provide an additional budget based on the progress of the hospitals, said Dr. Adhikari.
