Lamichhane is currently outside Nepal to play cricket match.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Clause 219 (2) of the Criminal Code, 2074 considers sexual relationship with a woman without her consent, and with a girl below 18 years of age as rape. According to the Clause 3 (D), raping a girl between the age of 16 and 18 is punishable by 10 to 12 years in prison.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On September 6, the 17-year-old girl filed a police case at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala, accusing Lamichhane of raping her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On August 21, Lamichhane allegedly took the girl to various places of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur for a visit, and raped her in a hotel in Kathmandu the same night, the girl said in the police report.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The girl, a permanent resident of Aaruchaur from Syangja district, is staying in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu.
