The theme of this year\u2019s event is \u201cUnleash Digital,\u201d gathering over 400 ICT industry leaders, experts, and partners from around the country to explore how to more effectively unleash digital productivity, promote the digital economy, and build up stronger digital ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the event, Huawei shared the steps it\u2019s taking to advance digital development across a wide range of industries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To kick off the event, Nicholas Ma, President of Huawei Asia Pacific Enterprise Business Group, delivered the opening remarks by sharing the insights on regional digital transformation progress and outlining three ways that Huawei and eco-partners can support Nepal in the digital economy, including digital infrastructure, industrial applications and digital talent. He added, \u201cNepal has made notable progress under the Digital Nepal Framework, Huawei will continue to leverage its global and regional innovation capabilities to support Nepal with cloud and data center infrastructure in addition to the accessible, affordable and inclusive digital connectivity, accelerating digital transformation for different verticals and building local ICT ecosystem, in Nepal, for Nepal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MOCIT Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal said, \u201cOur objective is to develop and expand the information &amp; communication sector up to the rural level in the form of infrastructure for social and economic development through wide spread participation of the private sector as well with emphasis on the dissemination of information and communication technology. We must ensure that our country and citizens are not left behind in terms of ICT. I would like to thank Huawei for arranging such a conference for the 3rd time where we can get many new knowledge &amp; ideas to unleash digital in Nepal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the program Economic and Commercial Counsellor of The Embassy of China in Nepal Mr. Xie Yu said, \u201cAge-old and deep-rooted, the China-Nepal relations have long been friendly and cordial. For Sure, Huawei is one of the most innovative international tech companies from China and it is leading the ICT industry of the world. I\u2019m sure Huawei Connect will literally connect many things and unleash a digital Nepal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the program Mr. Purushottam Khanal, Chairman, Nepal Telecommunications Authority remarked, \u201cThe Nepal Government has emphasized the importance of transforming Nepal into a Digital Economy by launching DIGITAL NEPAL FRAMEWORK. This Huawei connect congress will play significant role in this regard by introducing future tech trends and solutions before us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Hemraj Dhakal, MD of IME Group and Chairman of Dish home appreciated Huawei for playing the significant role in digital transformation. Huawei has actively develop transformation and create foundation for future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs one of largest Digital Economy Countries in South Asia, Nepal has great Potential on National Digital Transformation. Going digital is clearly the right choice. We will keep supporting Nepal\u2019s digitalization and sustainable development efforts, and building out the industry ecosystem &amp; continue to invest in the sector\u2019s digitization, sustainable development and ecosystem expansion.\u201d said William Zhang, CEO of Huawei Nepal Office.<\/p>\n<p>At the event, Huawei reinforced its commitment to open collaboration and shared success. The company called for government and enterprises to work more closely together to cultivate local digital ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>The conference in Nepal is the part of HUAWEI CONNECT\u2019s global tour in 2022.
