{"id":21827,"date":"2024-01-05T11:57:44","date_gmt":"2024-01-05T06:12:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=21827"},"modified":"2024-01-05T11:57:44","modified_gmt":"2024-01-05T06:12:44","slug":"public-notice-issued-to-appoint-tu-vc-thru-open-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=21827","title":{"rendered":"Public notice issued to appoint TU VC thru open competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KATHMANDU &#8211;<\/strong> For the first time of its kind, the government is appointing Vice-Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University (TU) through open competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Issuing a notice today, the Committee Formed to Select and Recommend the VC of the TU has sought applications from the qualified individuals for the open competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to this, Prime Minister and Chancellor of the TU, Pushpa Kamal Dahal &#8216;Prachanda&#8217;, had said that the VC of the TU would be appointed on the basis of merit by ending political appointment in the country&#8217;s largest and the grand old university.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The notice of the recommendation committee comes in line with the PM&#8217;s announcement to appoint the VC based on meritocracy.
