{"id":2252,"date":"2020-09-25T09:17:39","date_gmt":"2020-09-25T03:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=2252"},"modified":"2020-09-25T09:17:39","modified_gmt":"2020-09-25T03:32:39","slug":"teachers-mobilized-for-door-to-door-collection-of-student-documentation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=2252","title":{"rendered":"Teachers mobilized for door to door collection of student documentation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KANCHANPUR :<\/strong> At a time when the education sector is being battered by the coronavirus pandemic, teachers of Kanchanpur are going to students\u2019 homes to collect documentation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the student learning facilitation directive enforced by the government effective since September 17, teachers of community and institutional schools have been mobilized to collect documentation up to October1, shared the Education Development and Coordination Unit Kanchanpur.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe have begun collecting students\u2019 details as part of preparation for resuming teaching and learning,\u201d said unit in-charge Bharat Babu Subedi. \u201cThe task of documenting students\u2019 details is ongoing across the district,\u201d he said, adding that the schools will not resume until another decision has been made.<\/p>\n<p>The teachers have been using health safety protocols while going to students\u2019 doorsteps, he shared. Efforts are also being made to figure out how students can be taught from their own homes, he shared.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are 261 community and 232 institutional schools in Kanchanpur. Teacher Lok Bahadur Singh, who was deputed in the field for documentation, said that parents and students are not in favour of resuming in-person classes just yet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMany students are trying to get enrolled in community schools due to the prevalence of the coronavirus,\u201d Singh said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to him, the parents had voiced their complaints against schools charging high fees for adopting alternative modes of teaching and learning, including online cases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KANCHANPUR : At a time when the education sector is being battered by the coronavirus pandemic, teachers of Kanchanpur are going to students\u2019 homes to collect documentation.
