{"id":2451,"date":"2020-09-30T13:22:44","date_gmt":"2020-09-30T07:37:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=2451"},"modified":"2020-09-30T13:22:44","modified_gmt":"2020-09-30T07:37:44","slug":"dda-produced-sanitizer-in-high-demand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=2451","title":{"rendered":"DDA-produced sanitizer in high demand\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KATHMANDU: Sanitizer produced by the Department of Drugs Administration &#8211; a government undertaking has been high in demand in the market.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Department\u2019s product has witnessed growing demand at time when sanitizers produced and made available by different companies in the market have been found to be mixed with poisonous chemicals.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Acting Director General of the Department, Bijaya Shree Ratna Bajracharya, shared that the daily transaction of sanitizer is around 300,000.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Department has been producing allopathic drugs, mainly Cetamol, Cetaplus, Jeevanjal, sanitizer, glycerine and distilled water.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bajracharya shared that the sanitizers have been produced since March in keeping with the growing need of the market. \u201cWe had initiated manufacturing the sanitizer keeping into consideration the market need prior to the enforcement of lockdown on 24 march 2020. Now our manufacturing capacity is 20,000 litres,\u201d\u00a0 he added.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOur product has drawn market attention after the sanitizers manufactured by different companies were found fixed with hazardous chemicals,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the Department, the market price of a 60 ml sanitizer is Rs 78, Rs 125 for 100 ml, Rs 250 for 200 ml and Rs 450 for 500 ml.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KATHMANDU: Sanitizer produced by the Department of Drugs Administration &#8211;
