{"id":25003,"date":"2024-10-23T16:46:59","date_gmt":"2024-10-23T11:01:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=25003"},"modified":"2024-10-23T16:46:59","modified_gmt":"2024-10-23T11:01:59","slug":"speaker-ghimire-directs-to-table-under-consideration-bills-in-upcoming-session-of-parliament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=25003","title":{"rendered":"Speaker Ghimire directs to table under consideration bills in upcoming session of parliament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KATHMANDU &#8211;<\/strong> Speaker Devraj Ghimire has directed the parliamentary committees to table the bills which are under consideration in the respective committees in the coming session of the Federal Parliament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaker Ghimire issued the directive in a meeting with committee chairs and chief whips and whips of the major political parties held at his office in Singha Durbar on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the occasion, the speaker enquired about the number of bills under consideration in the parliamentary committees and time required to pass them, said chairperson of the Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee, Abdul Khan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the meeting, the parliamentary committee chairpersons informed Speaker Ghimire that the committee meetings were not held in lack of a quorum as most of the lawmakers are still in their hometown with the end of parliament session, Khan added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nSpeaker Ghimire had called the chairpersons of those committees where bills are under consideration for clause-wise discussion, and chief whips and whips of major political parties, for the meeting and held discussions on related matters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chief Whip of CPN (UML), Mahesh Bartaula, Chief Whip of Nepali Congress, Shyam Kumar Ghimire, Chief Whip of CPN (Maoist Center), Hitraj Pandey, Chief whip of Rastriya Swatantra Party, Santosh Pariyar, and Chief Whip of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Gyan Bahadur Shahi, were called for the meeting.
