KATHMANDU – <\/strong> Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has asked the concerned authorities to assist in making investigation and prosecution evidence-based and effective through the use of technology in legal procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inaugurating the Third National Conference of Police Investigators and Government Prosecutors in Kathmandu today, the PM urged the investigators and prosecutors to carry out their jobs for legal procedures in a fair manner being based on evidences and facts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PM said that drafting of contextual laws and their effective implementation were needed to build a just society by doing different researches, studies and investigations for social harmony and avoid injustice. “For this, there is a need for sufficient resources, well-trained, efficient and honest human resources. The government is committed to ensuring such resources and opportunities,” the PM added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, PM Oli said police should have fairness, impartiality and transparency and also pledged to ensure logistic support for the Nepal Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saying that the criminals could use different minds and technology to cover their crimes, the PM asked the police to be resourceful with new technology to immediately control such criminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PM viewed that the flawless investigation of police leads to justice delivery. Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Attorney General Ramesh Badal and other high-level officials are also present at the event.
