Kathmandu\u00a0[Nepal], July 9-\u00a0Nepal\u2019s National Assembly (NA) is holding clause-by-clause discussions on four key reform bills during today\u2019s meeting of its Legislation Management Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bills were referred to the committee after being passed by the House of Representatives. Lawmakers are reviewing amendment proposals submitted by committee members in the presence of the respective line ministers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Committee chair Krishna Bahadur Rokaya said the committee is expected to finalise its report on the bills and present it at today\u2019s National Assembly meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The proposed legislation seeks to replace ordinances previously introduced by the government. The four bills are the\u00a0Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill,\u00a02083, the\u00a0Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083, the\u00a0Cooperative (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 and the\u00a0Bill to Amend some Nepal acts related to the Institute of Health Sciences, 2083.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
