New Delhi [India], July 23 –<\/strong> India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the establishment of fast-track courts to ensure swift prosecution and punishment for those involved in the NEET examination paper leak as nationwide protests over the scandal continue to intensify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a post on X, Modi said protecting the future of young people remains the government’s highest priority and pledged that anyone responsible for compromising students’ futures would face strict legal action. He said the government had directed all relevant agencies to immediately begin the process of setting up special courts to expedite trials in paper leak cases and ensure timely justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement comes after protests under the “Chalo Parliament” campaign which began on July 20 in New Delhi and several other cities. Protest leaders have outlined three key demands- the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, compensation of Rs 10 million for the families of students who allegedly died by suicide following the NEET paper leak and the withdrawal of all cases filed against peaceful demonstrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protest spokesperson Saurabh Das said the resignation of the education minister remains a non-negotiable demand and warned that demonstrations would continue until their demands are met. He also called for assurances that no future legal action would be taken against peaceful protesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Union Health Minister JP Nadda urged political parties not to politicise the paper leak controversy saying the issue requires serious and constructive discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Delhi Police, more than 118 police personnel, including senior officers and women officers, were injured during clashes linked to the protests. Authorities also reported that around 60 protesters sustained injuries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
