You should play a similar role this time also,\u2019 she told him,\u201d said Subedi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In response to her request, Gautam told the President that they are making efforts to protect party unity and not allow the party to split, said Subedi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting of the President with a key NCP leader comes in the wake of rising tensions in the ruling party that threatens to end the ongoing unification between two communist parties which started three years ago.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are having discussions to protect the unity of the party that is based on system and procedure. The unity will remain intact. We will protect the unity. I am also working in favor of protecting the party unity,\u201d Subedi quoted Gautam as saying.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The President expressed concerns about the recent escalation of internal disputes in the ruling party that has put the party on the verge of split, he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cShe was of the view that political parties should not split.
