{"id":3640,"date":"2020-11-11T16:40:54","date_gmt":"2020-11-11T10:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=3640"},"modified":"2020-11-11T16:40:54","modified_gmt":"2020-11-11T10:55:54","slug":"rasuwa-customs-office-collects-rs-1-billion-in-revenue-in-four-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=3640","title":{"rendered":"Rasuwa customs office collects Rs 1 billion in revenue in four months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>RASUWA<\/strong> &#8211; The Rasuwa customs office in Timure has collected one billion rupees in revenue from the import of goods through the country\u2019s northern transit in Rasuwagadhi within the past four months this fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The supply of goods through the transit with China has increased after the transit resumed five months ago following a halt due to the 2015 earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic, said chief customs officer Punya Bikram Khadka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At present, Chinese businesspersons have brought five containers with goods at the Miteri bridge near the border on a daily basis, said the customs office. Workers and drivers have managed to load goods into containers and transport them from Rasuwagadhi to the customs office premises in Timure, said Khadka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Local people have accused Chinese customs representatives of charging high transport fees on the supply of goods from Kerung to Rasuwagadhi.
