Tea production has gone up due to better weather conditions during the season.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tea yields were higher because there was no rain this season as there was in the last, which helped the growth of tea leaves. Farmers\u2019 frustrations with tea estates have decreased with the rise in production and price.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The farmers have been elated with the increase of green tea leaves price to Rs 50 from the range of Rs 30-Rs 40 per kg this season. \u201cThe production increased due to favourable weather condition in the new autumn season despite torrential raining up to September 16\u201d, said Dambar Katuwal, tea farmer of Suryodaya municipality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe industrialists have also upped the price. With this the income from tea production has also increased\u201d, he added. Katuwal further said that the production of tea has doubled this year. There was no such disease impending the production so farmers did not invest much to this front as well, he noted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A tea industrialist of the Ilam municipality in Sankhujung, Tanka Dahal, said the supply of tea to the industry has increased with the rise in production during the autumn season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ILAM &#8211; Farmers have said that tea production has increased in the autumn season this year compared to that of the previous year.
