{"id":3971,"date":"2020-11-27T11:33:20","date_gmt":"2020-11-27T05:48:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=3971"},"modified":"2020-11-27T11:33:20","modified_gmt":"2020-11-27T05:48:20","slug":"foreign-secretaries-agree-on-completing-nepal-india-boundary-works-in-upcoming-meetings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=3971","title":{"rendered":"Foreign secretaries agree on completing Nepal-India boundary works in upcoming meetings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KATHMANDU<\/strong>: Nepal and India have agreed to further discuss on completing boundary related disputes in upcoming meetings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Though the bilateral meeting between Nepal and India held at the Foreign Secretary-level on Thursday discussed boundary matters, they agreed to exchange views on completing boundary works in the remaining segments, according to a statement issued by the Nepal\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In its statement, the ministry said that the bilateral meeting between Foreign Secretary of Nepal Bharat Raj Paudyal and visiting Foreign Secretary of India Harsh Vardhan Shringla was held in an atmosphere of utmost cordiality and friendship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Indian Foreign Secretary is on a two-day official visit to Nepal starting today.\u00a0 He had landed in Kathmandu for his two-day official visit this morning. This is his first visit to Nepal after being appointed India\u2019s Foreign Secretary. He is visiting Nepal at the cordial invitation of Nepal\u2019s Foreign Secretary Paudyal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThey reviewed various aspects of Nepal-India relations covering trade, transit, connectivity, infrastructure, energy, agriculture, investment, culture, people to people relations, among others,\u201d read the statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe two sides also reviewed with satisfaction the progress made with regard to the bilateral cooperation projects, including the key connectivity projects and post-earthquake reconstruction work,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to a statement, the two sides shared their experiences on the efforts made to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They also discussed matters related to cooperation in the context of the progress made by India towards the development of a Covid-19 vaccine, the statement added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KATHMANDU: Nepal and India have agreed to further discuss on completing boundary related disputes in upcoming meetings.
