{"id":5535,"date":"2021-01-31T16:49:54","date_gmt":"2021-01-31T11:04:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=5535"},"modified":"2021-01-31T16:49:54","modified_gmt":"2021-01-31T11:04:54","slug":"petitioners-complete-oral-arguments-in-constitutional-benchs-hearing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=5535","title":{"rendered":"Petitioners complete oral arguments in Constitutional Bench\u2019s hearing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KATHMANDU &#8211;<\/strong> Advocates representing petitioners on House dissolution cases in the Constitutional Bench have completed making their pleas. 13 petitioners along with other advocates have made pleas during the hearings at the Constitutional Bench that started from January 4.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With petitioners wrapping up their argument presentations in the hearing, government attorneys and advocates on behalf of defendants including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli are scheduled to make their pleas in the hearing from Monday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While petitioners have demanded the Supreme Court to repeal the government decision to dissolve the House of Representatives arguing that such a move was unconstitutional, defendants and their advocates will make pleas on behalf of the government.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Office of the President, the Prime Minister\u2019s Office and the Speaker of the House of Representatives are the defendants in the House dissolution cases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KATHMANDU &#8211; Advocates representing petitioners on House dissolution cases in the Constitutional Bench have completed making their pleas. 13 petitioners along with other advocates have made pleas during the hearings at the Constitutional Bench that started from January 4.
