{"id":643,"date":"2020-08-16T21:48:32","date_gmt":"2020-08-16T16:03:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=643"},"modified":"2020-08-16T22:07:13","modified_gmt":"2020-08-16T16:22:13","slug":"army-court-orders-removal-of-three-personnel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=643","title":{"rendered":"Army court orders removal of three personnel\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Kathmandu-<\/em>\u00a0 Summary General Army Court on Sunday has ordered the Dismissal of three army officials on charges of property and discipline and moral conduct.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The army officials who have faced action are Brigadier General Prayog Jung Rana, Colonel Nabin Silwal and Warrant Officer First Class Mithuram Bishwokarma.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They have been accused of misappropriating over Rs 16 million while discharging their duty at Panchkhal-based Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brigadier General Rana has been accused of embezzling over Rs 15 million and Colonel Siwal over Rs 1.5 million. The court has also ordered a recovery of the money equivalent to the misappropriated amounts from the convicts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The court has ordered Demotion of Captain Laxmi Kanta Khanal, Warrant Officer First Class Bhoj Bahadur Bista and Warrant Officer Second Class Binod Basnet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Likewise, the court gave a clean chit to Colonel Rajendra Mani Giri and retired Warrant Officer First Class Nawaraj Pandey who were being investigated on various charges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu-\u00a0 Summary General Army Court on Sunday has ordered the Dismissal of three army officials on charges of property and discipline and moral conduct.
