{"id":6734,"date":"2021-03-30T14:41:23","date_gmt":"2021-03-30T08:56:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=6734"},"modified":"2021-03-30T14:41:23","modified_gmt":"2021-03-30T08:56:23","slug":"cpn-maoist-center-seeks-judicial-review-of-verdict-to-scrap-unification-with-cpn-uml","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.kathmandupati.com\/?p=6734","title":{"rendered":"CPN (Maoist-Center) seeks judicial review of verdict to scrap unification with CPN (UML)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KATHMANDU &#8211;<\/strong> CPN (Maoist Center) has moved to the Supreme Court, seeking judicial review of the apex court\u2019s verdict on March 7 to scrap the merger process between his party and CPN (UML).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal filed a petition at the Supreme Court on Tuesday seeking the review of the verdict that not only struck down the decision of the Election Commission to provide the name Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to the merged party but also annulled the unification process between two main Communist parties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stating that the apex court had crossed the constitutional and legal limit, Prachanda-led CPN (Maoist Center) asked the Supreme Court to review the verdict of March 7.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIf the Supreme Court starts issuing verdict just to meet someone\u2019s political motive, there will be nothing left except anarchism in the country,\u201d said Prachanda after registering the appeal.
