Transport entrepreneurs and officials on Thursday held a discussion in this regard at the Kathmandu District Administration Office.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the talk, the officials were positive to allow resumption of public transport in the Valley by following the health protocol, said the FNNTE President, Yogendra Nath Karmacharya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Transport workers and owners have been hit hard as public transport came to a halt for around two months following the second wave of COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In response, Chief District Officer of Kathmandu district Kali Prasad Parajuli pledged to take a decision to this effect within June 27 after holding consultation with the Home secretary and Chief Secretary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Transport entrepreneurs have been demanding that all transportation system should be allowed instead of going for odd and even number plate system, reasoning that passengers would find it difficult to travel on crowded vehicles if the odd and even number plate system is imposed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They have also asked for allowing resumption of public vehicles outside the Kathmandu Valley.
