The epicenters of the earthquake were in Patalkot of Achham and Kashikhand of Kavrepalanchok districts, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, Lainchaur, Kathmandu. The earthquake measuring 4.4 in the Richter scale occurred at 8:35 a.m. in Achham while a magnitude 4.3 earthquake occurred in Kavrepalanchok at 8:03 a.m. today. There has been a rise in incidents of earthquakes in different parts of the country as of late.
