The spokesperson of the Israel Defence Force informed that Joshi was among those held hostage by Hamas group after the attack on October 7 at Kibbutz-Alumim in southern Israel and taken towards Gaza, the Embassy of Nepal based in Tel Aviv, Israel, said. The Embassy said in a press release that Joshi’s latest whereabouts are not ascertained, he is still out of contact and a search is on for him.
