The Minister has been admitted to the Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, as confirmed by his private secretary, Suresh Kaji Shrestha. It is reported that the Minister suffered a mild heart attack and underwent a stent placement procedure for his heart. According to the Minister’s secretariat, the hospital has stated that he is out of a life-threatening situation. He is currently receiving intensive care unit (ICU) treatment. Shrestha is on the visit to the northern neighbour at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart.
