In his address to a session of the House of Representatives (HoR) in the course of seeking a vote of confidence, he said the government is effortful to revive hope among the people. “The government was formed to convey enthusiasm to the citizenry and lead the country towards rapid economic growth,” he said, pledging to increase the State’s capacity for expenditures and delivering to the people’s expectations while ending anomalies in the development sector and promoting financial discipline. Extending condolences and sympathy to the families affected by disasters such as floods and landslides nationwide, the Prime Minister promised prompt rescue and relief efforts in such hard times.
