Foreign Minister Gyawali in New Delhi: Know what he will do in India during his three-day visit


KATHMANDU – Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali has reached New Delhi for his three-day visit to the southern neighbor India. He landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport today.

He will lead the Nepali side in the Sixth Meeting of Nepal-India Joint Commission that is scheduled to be held tommorrow.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the Joint Commission Meeting will discuss the whole gamut of Nepal-India bilateral relations, including trade, transit, energy, boundary, COVID-19 cooperation, infrastructure, connectivity, investment, agriculture, tourism, culture, among others.

 

The Indian side will be headed by Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.

During his India visit, Foreign Minister Gyawali is also going to meet with the high-level dignitaries of India, according to the MoFA.

Foreign Minister Gyawali is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Foreign Minister Gyawali will deliver the special message of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to his Indian counterpart Modi during the courtesy call, according to a source at the MoFA.

The Nepali delegation consists of the Ambassador of Nepal to India Nilambar Acharya, Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal, Health Secretary Laxman Aryal , and other senior officials of the Government of Nepal.
Minister Gyawali is scheduled to return to Nepal on Saturday.
