गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ Parliamentary committee directs govt to manage 10,000 ventilators Politics Parliamentary committee directs govt to manage 10,000 ventilators KathmanduPati August 21, 2020 Kathmandu- The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee under the House of Representatives (HoR) has directed the government to manage health insurances, motivational allowances and security for health workers and security personnel who are working on the frontlines against COVID-19. In a virtual meeting of the parliamentary committee on Friday, the members expressed that the government should ensure effective management in order to contain the pandemic and ensure proper treatment facilities are provided to those infected. The treatment of the citizens should be effective and smooth in this critical hour of pandemic, the committee meeting concluded. The committee further suggested increasing the number of dedicated hospitals for the treatment of coronavirus cases. The government has been further urged to manage PCR test facilities in all 77 districts across the country. The committee stated that the ventilators should be accessible to infected patients for which 10,000 ventilators and ICUs are imperative as the COVID-19 cases are increasing daily.
