According to Dr Bishnu Gautam, information officer at Butwal-based Lumbini State Hospital, a 50-year old man of Kapilvastu district and 70-year old woman of Rupandehi district died of the infection. The man died last night while the woman died this morning. Both were patients of thyroid and high blood pressure since long. The woman was admitted at the hospital two weeks ago while the man was admitted last week. The woman was being treated following plasma therapy for the first time in the hospital. Preparation was being made to give plasma therapy to her for the second time today but she died before the therapy. With this, the death toll caused by COVID-19 has reached seven in Rupandehi district.
