The meeting was going to be held at 11 am at Paris Danda, the headquarters of the erstwhile CPN (Maoist-Center) that later got merged with the CPN (UML). The main governing party has rarely held its meeting at its Paris Danda office which now hosts offices for various sister organizations of the NCP. Almost all meetings were convened at the Prime Minister’s official residence Baluwatar while other bigger party meetings were held at Dhumbarahi headquarters. The decision to change the meeting venue came after NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ was provided full executive power of the party recently as part of efforts to resolve the intra-party feuds. Following the decision to hold the meeting at Paris Danda office, the party had made a seating arrangement by following social distancing measures. However, secretariat members received the notice today morning about the deferral of the meeting until Sunday. It was not immediately clear why the meeting was postponed.
