In a tweet this afternoon, PM extended deep condolences to the bereaved family and well-wishers. “Very saddened by the passing away of Angrita Sherpa, who set the world record by climbing the Sagarmatha 10 times without supplementary oxygen. I pay tribute to him and express my profound condolences to the grief-stricken family and well-wishes at this hour of sorrow. His feat would always be remembered,” the Prime Minister wrote in his tweet. Likewise, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai also expressed his condolences to Sherpa’s family. The Tourism Minister, through a Facebook post, expressed grief over the ‘Snow Leopard’ Sherpa’s demise and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
